Mirrorballs Producer Podcast 001 – M.in
[English below]

We will continue to showcase our influences through 2012 with even more gems like these, so stay tuned – Mirrorballs is back, baby!

The dude is keeping busy, and versatile, with residencies at Rachel Rachel, Brossard’s Commission des Liqueurs, and Circus. The mix he did for us is, of course, on a house & tech tip.

ROUX Soundsystem’s upcoming week-end of debauchery
While Marinelli was in Turks & Caicos, Clifford played alongside Peter Anthony at Parking and with M A N I K at Daomé. Now that the red beast is back, we’ve planned a week-end packed full of nice events to celebrate his 31st birthday in style.
First off, we have the honor of playing with Rilly Guilty at Refresh on Thursday night at Parking. With its 3$ drinks & cover charge, the big dancefloor and big beats, it’s a nice way to start the week-end on a high note.
Then, on Friday, we are joining Peter Anthony & Arsen as they celebrate their night’s 3rd anniversary. Futuristicfunk sure ain’t getting any younger, but it’s never been groovier & healthy. It’s all going down at Salon Daomé and you can get on the list by sending your complete names via email right here.
After that, we’re heading to Stereo to fulfill every Montreal DJ’s fantasy: to make our debut appearance at the Temple of Sound. We have been waiting for this chance for a long time. We will play a peak time spot. AND we will have reduced tickets for y’all with us at Daomé. We are playing after Ostrich, at 3:30, and are set to go until 6:30 AM. Vincent Lemieux is closing the night. You can also buy your tickets in advance right here. We would of course feel priviledged to see everybody we love there. Those who have supported us over the years, those who have recently started following us, and even our beloved haters. Because as much as you hate, you will never touch us, we’re having too much of a good time to notice you. ROUX always.
It’s with great pleasure that we bring you another series of mixes to warm your March up.
First off is our good friend Andres Velilla‘s offering. Born in Columbia, Andres came to Montreal by way of Miami. Instigator of the “Latin Invasion” nights at Salon Daomé, his track selection always has a little latin flavor, mixed with a keen ear for good house music and groovy tech.
You can stream & download the mix by clicking right here.
Here’s the tracklist:
1.Oliver Koletzki – Warschauer Straube
2. Enzo Caprioli – Central Park
3. Giano, Nina Simone – Feelin’ Good
4. Joeski, Matthias Heilbronn feat. Jessica Colasante – I Got News (Original Jazz Mix)
5. Round Table Knights & Zombie Disco Squad – Endless
6. Camiel Daamien – No Game
7. Carl Cox feat. Savannah Blount – The Latin Theme (Roel Salemink & Steve Mulder Remix)
8. Dubroom – Tulipani
9. Johan Dresser – Seven Day
10. 2Raumwohnung – Wir Werden Sehen (Solomun Vox Remix)
The 2nd March podcast will feature deep house mixed by Clifford Brown and should be available in about two weeks.
The upcoming ROUX Soundsystem week-end
At the ROUX Soundsystem head office, we like to keep busy. It’s a way to keep our mind sharp, our fingers sharpened, and our eyes focused on the future. We have a few nice nights lined up for the next week-end and we wanted to share ‘em with y’all.
On Thursday, at our weekly Refresh night at Parking, we have the pleasure of welcoming Mateo Murphy on the decks. Mateo is a techno legend, a genuine Montreal pioneer who doesn’t really need any introduction. Should you need one, however, you can always check out the interview we did with the man in 2009.
On Friday, we have the pleasure of playing at the vernissage of Jérôme Suard‘s first expo. Jérôme is without a doubt one of our favorite nightlife photographers, but he also has other interests & subjects he views through his lenses. “Jérôme Suard is French. He is like a X-rated Tintin. Born in Lucinges during the seventies, he is now a full-time montrealer and has embraced the city’s fast-paced lifestyle. Emotions and instinct are his fuel, and provoking is what keeps him going. Seize the light. Never let your guard down. The paparazzi is here.” It’s going down at Espace Griffintown, from 5 to 11 PM, and you can find out all the details on the Facebook event.
On Saturday, it’s time for the long-awaited Subwoofer et la recherche de l’été perdu, a Nuit Blanche event presented by Galerie Armatta at the beautiful Rialto Theater. A warm & breezy summer night will be recreated inside the theater through a slideshow of pictures, a friendly atmosphere, and sunny house music played by Seb Fauteux, Fred Everything and ourselves. To say we’re looking forward would be an understatement. The best part? It’s FREE.
